Virat Kohli will not have any role in selection of coach, only 6 shortlisted out of 2000!
New Delhi Team India coach selection: The Indian cricket team will now get a new coach from August 15 onwards. It is being said that the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) will interview for the post of coach after August 15. Earlier it was being said that the interview for the coach position would be taken on August 13 or 14. In this case, an IANS source says that the process of the interview has to take only one day as only six out of 2000 candidates have been shortlisted for this.
The source said that this interview was earlier to be held on August 13 or 14, but now only six people have been shortlisted for the final interview, so only one day is enough for this. Some paperwork is yet to be done for the interview and all the action needs to be completed before the CAC starts the interview. I do not think that all this work will be done before 15 August. According to the source, just as the captain was not in the process of choosing the coach of the women's team, in the same way, this time also the captain will not be involved in the process.
The source said on the process of choosing the coach that I do not think the captain will be included in it because according to the guidelines they have, they have been given clear instructions as to who will be involved and who will not. Now it depends on the committee who they select for the post of coach. There will be no role of captain or COA in this. The advisory committee will definitely suggest some names to the board and after this the BCCI will decide who to choose the coach. However, Indian captain Virat Kohli has made his choice as captain and it is also being said that Ravi Shastri can become the coach of the team again.
